| On April 1, 2011, our general manager led a team to attend the two-day supplier conference 2011 held by WABCO in Jinan from March 31 to April 1, 2011. About 120 representatives from more than 80 suppliers in China and Asia and Europe attended the conference.
This is the first time for WABCO to hold an annual supplier conference in China. China is becoming increasingly important in the global supply chain of WABCO. In China, WABCO now operates four world-class factories, supplying products to customers in China, Asia and around the world. Currently, WABCO China is about to supply about one million anti-lock braking system (ABS) parts to the North American market every year.
"WABCO’s global sourcing strategy is to develop key suppliers into key partners in the supply chain and to set global standards at the engineering level," said Dr. Liang Liu, President of WABCO Asia Pacific, "We will continue to leverage the quality and abundant resources in China to provide high quality and competitive products to our customers. We expect our suppliers to actively implement and benefit from the Six Sigma Lean manufacturing concept. This world class management system combines quality management with process efficiency to create more value.
Ekkehard Petzold, Vice President of Global Supply and Procurement at WABCO, also said: "Our strategy focuses on building long-term relationships with internationally competitive and outstanding suppliers, strengthening WABCO’s global engineering and production network, and gradually expanding our share of procurement in emerging countries. We expect our key local suppliers in China and Asia to play an even more important role and commit to continuous quality and efficiency improvements and technological innovation."
2011年4月1日，公司总经理带队参加了威伯科（WABCO）于2011年3月31日至4月1日在济南召开为期两天的2011供应商大会。来自中国本土以及亚欧 80多个供应厂商的约120位代表出席了此次会议。
这是威伯科首次在中国召开年度供应商大会。中国在威伯科全球供应链中的重要地位日益凸显：在中国，威伯科现在运营着四个世界级的工厂，为中国本土、亚洲乃至世界各地的客户提供产品。目前，威伯科中国每年就要为北美市场提供约100万个防抱死制动系统（ABS）零部件。
